To Stay Animated - "Stamina Matters"

Everyone watched the match played by Swiss Tennis Maestro 'Roger' and Indian cricket wall 'Dravid'. Apart from their sensible playing, the important thing which I'm curious or interested about is their "STAMINA". Both of them are really cool. Even after playing for a long time their make-up will not change. There is no new moon when they are in ground. You will always see a full moon.

Take Roger, his energy level while entering the court will be same as that of the energy level while coming out of the court i.e., when the match gets over, he doesn't seem like exhausted. His play doesn't seem like a sinusoidal wave. There are no ups and downs. Always it seems like a direct current graph (straight line-constant). Tennis is the battle of endurance. In a grand slam, a player has to play minimum 3 sets and maximum 5 sets. A player should not go to an excitation state when he wins a set and should not bury himself when he loses a set. He has to be consistent in his attitude, energy level and focus. If there is any fall or rise in any one of these three, he will be under the control of the opponent.

One of my professors gave us the difference between 'a sprint' and 'a marathon'. In a sprint, the person who finishes the race first is the winner but in case of marathon the persons who finish the race are winners. Similarly, our life is not a sprint with only one winner. It's a god damn marathon. We have to sustain the race for prolonged duration until we reach our destiny.

Small victories in our journey are like the energy drink which will be given in between the race. We have to decide how much we are going to taste the drink. If we drink above the limit, it becomes a burden. Sometimes, it makes us walk. It extends the race duration. Spoils our consistency. Here comes the endurance. Unless and until we motivate ourselves, it's really hard to reach our destiny. Stamina really matters to maintain a constant motion.

Since life is a marathon no need to consider or care about the stupid souls who are competing with us. My opinion is to track their performance while you are crossing them or will be crossed by them. Everyone is a winner boss. If the guy who is competing with you buys a Lamborghini Reventon at the age of 35 then you may buy that car at 38 or 39.

I have seen people who had the sinusoidal attitude while running in a marathon. Why do I want to point out someone else? Take me. I had sinusoidal attitude. When someone overtook me, all the energy in my whole body gets consolidated in my legs and I started running fast. I felt good when I was overtaking someone. But, what's the use? After a certain period of time, I felt beat. Then, everything ended in disaster.

Same thing is applicable in our life also. Like all Tom, Dick and Harry say "Have a vision in your life".

Some may argue that why can't we finish the race with high speed without getting exhausted. It's possible, only if you are naturally gifted or have inherent talent.
